Bye Bye Baby

‘Bye Bye Baby’ is based on the wonderfully attractive little book by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. The book has a funny and charming theme, which lends itself excellently to adaptation for stage.

Bye Bye Baby Story adaptation

It’s party time. Older children are tearing about playing party games. A smaller child finds it too much and goes to Dad, who suggests they all calm down and hear a story. The book he chooses is ‘Bye Bye Baby’. The book comes to life.

Costumes

Party clothes and animal costumes. Requires a four legged panto horse.

Set

Design takes inspiration from the book cover. Simple build, small rostra or treads for ensemble, small flats for baby’s house. Armchair. Small props.

Target audience

Primary age and younger children, parents, teachers and carers.

Created for performance by a group of young actors, as their first or second show.
